Frequently Asked Questions

Eyelash Extensions are semi-permanent eyelash extensions comprised of individual synthetic fibers that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. Our lashes are thicker at the base and taper to a fine point. They are applied on to individual eyelashes, one extension at a time, for a natural, elegant look to lengthen and add fullness to the existing lashes. Eyelash extensions are for professional application only. Self-application and application by untrained individuals is strongly discouraged.

It is an individual process. We lose between 1-5 eyelashes almost everyday. We also grow a new lash to replace the one that fell out. Lash Extensions can last indefinitely with proper care and maintenance. However, factors such as eyelash growth, lifestyle and general after care will affect how long the lashes last. As your natural lashes fall out due to the growth cycle, you will need touch ups when new lashes grow. At first you may find you need a touch up every 2 weeks. As you become accustomed to the extensions and with a little practice maintaining the lashes, we will determine if the time between touch ups can be extended to 3 weeks.

To be completely honest it is not a simple yes or no answer. It depends on the application, the lashes used and how one follows the aftercare advice given by the stylist. Eyelash extensions will not damage your natural lashes if applied correctly.

Long, thicker extensions are not always the best – The extensions used should be slightly longer and thicker than your natural eyelashes. Most of those who have experienced damaged lashes have had the wrong type of lashes applied by an uneducated stylist. Excess weight and length can cause stress on the natural lashes and result in the natural lashes breaking or prematurely shedding.

Allergic reaction to product and damage to eyelashes are caused by incorrect application and can result in itching, pinching and massive clumping. To relieve any discomfort, the client would likely pick or pull out the offending extensions resulting in damaged natural lashes.

Many clients report seeing visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. The smooth results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days or even longer. We don’t believe in quick fixes, so one treatment per month is recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, oily and congested skin. Continued HydraFacial treatments are highly recommended to maintain skin health results.

It’s a common misconception by those who have never done brow threading that it is a painful method of removing facial hairs. That’s not true. Brow threading removes hairs using a rolled-up thread to pluck out the unwanted hair from its follicles. It can’t be compared to the pain gotten from waxing.
